After 800 years of history and an extensive restoration, Greyfriars is getting ready to open its doors again in early 2027. As we prepare to welcome visitors, events and community activities back into one of Lincoln’s most historic buildings, we’re looking for friendly, organised people to join our team.

We’re recruiting for two roles, both based at Greyfriars on an initial 15-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension subject to funding and performance.

Events and Administration Coordinator

Hours: 21 hours a week (0.57 FTE)

Salary: £26,500 pro rata

From planning events to keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this role will be at the heart of life at Greyfriars. You’ll support the planning and delivery of events, manage bookings and logistics, keep records up to date and be a key point of contact for visitors and partners.

We’re looking for someone organised and approachable who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. Experience in event coordination, administration or customer service is essential.

Visitor Engagement and Support Officer

Hours: Role 1 – 10.5 hours a week (0.28 FTE) Role 2 – 12 hours a week (0.32 FTE)

Salary: £25,877 pro rata

As one of the first faces our visitors will see, you’ll help make sure everyone who comes through our doors receives a warm welcome. You’ll also support the day-to-day running of the site, help with events and activities, and make sure Greyfriars is safe, accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Previous experience in customer service or a front-of-house role is essential, along with a friendly manner, strong communication skills and a genuine passion for heritage and creating great visitor experiences.
